Philex Mining Corporation is located in Benguet.Since 1958, its primary operation has been the Padcal Mine (copper, gold, and silver), with an expected mining lifespan until December 31, 2028.
Silangan Mindanao Mining Co., Inc. (SMMCI) is the company’s key development project, situated in Surigao del Norte.The total mineral resources are approximately 795 million tons, with an average copper grade of 0.47% and a gold grade of 0.58 g/t. The Barbara I deposit (formerly Boyongan) is estimated to have ore reserves of 81 million tons, supporting a mine life of 22 years.

APEX MINING CO., INC. is a publicly listed gold and silver producer in the Philippines, focusing on the exploration, development, and production of gold and silver. According to its publicly released 2023 operational report, the company processed approximately 781,000 metric tons of ore throughout the year, with an annual gold production of around 60,000 ounces.
Apex Mining Co., Incdebuted in the Philippine Stock Exchange in March 1974.APX owns and operates the Maco Gold Mine in Davao De Oro, located in Southern Mindanao. ISRI and the mines it operates primarily extract gold, typically with silver as a by-product. It holds mineral resources with significant development potential, making it an important mining asset in the Cordillera region of the Philippines.
APX acquired Itogon-Suyoc Resources, Inc. (ISRI) in June 2015, becoming the assignee-company of all mining assets of the former Itogon-Suyoc Mines, Inc. (ISMI) —The Sangilo Mine in Itogon and the Suyoc Mine in Mankayan, both located in Benguet Province, and the Benit Claim in Labo, Camarines Norte.
The Sangilo mine achieved a total production of 169,776 tonnes with an average grade of 3.76 grams per tonne (gpt) in 2024, compared to 161,077 tonnes with an average grade of 3.78 gpt in 2023. An updated mineral resource estimate for PC-ISRI-004-CAR reported 7.81 million tonnes at an average grade of 4.19 grams per tonne (gpt), with 21% measured and indicated resources.
